Los Angeles web design agencies aren’t hard to find. Finding a good one is. So I went through 49 of them and ranked the top agencies worth your time.
Nobody paid to be here. Nothing on this list is sponsored.
I scored every agency on brand authority, client satisfaction, employee ratings, and price. Data sources include Clutch, DesignRush, G2, Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, and SEMrush.
That last one changes the order more than you’d expect. Minimum project costs here run from $1,000 to $25,000. The expensive shops don’t automatically do better work.
I also read the reviews. Not the star ratings. The actual complaints, which is where you find out how an agency behaves when a deadline slips.
A few on this list won’t take you unless you’re B2B. One won’t build anything outside WordPress. I’ve flagged those. Start at the top and work down. Let’s get into it.

⭐ Top Pick: OneLittleWeb — Strong Candidate if You Want Web Design Built on SEO Strategy

- Website: onelittleweb.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.83 (based on 59 reviews)
- Team Size: 42 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 8
- Monthly Website Visits: 80,000+
- Employee Review Score: 4.65 (based on 35 reviews)
Overview
We started OneLittleWeb because the same gap kept showing up. An agency would ship a sharp site, then hand it over with no plan for how anyone would find it.
Or the traffic arrived and the site could not convert it. So we stopped treating those as two separate jobs. Web design here starts with what the pages need to do.
Layout decisions get made against keyword data, user intent, and the action you want a visitor to take. The build follows from that, not the other way around.
That means the site launches ready to rank. You are not waiting on a second engagement to fix it later. For Los Angeles businesses, that matters more than it might elsewhere.
Competition for the obvious searches here is brutal. A site that looks good but ranks nowhere is an expensive way to learn that.
Core Services
- Custom Web Design and SaaS Web Design
- SEO and SaaS SEO
- Link Building & SaaS Link Building
- UI/UX Design and UX Strategy
- Website Maintenance Service
- Technical SEO and Content Strategy
Why We Rank as Top Pick
- 4.83 client satisfaction rating across 59 reviews shows strong delivery on expectations
- 80,000+ monthly site visits reflect real brand authority and organic reach
- 42-person team on LinkedIn means you work with a focused group, not a rotating bench
- 8 years in business with a $1,000 minimum makes the agency reachable for smaller projects too
- 4.65 employee review score across 35 reviews points to a stable internal team
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Reviewers tend to raise the same thing unprompted. The site and the search work came from one team. Several mention timelines holding firm. The recurring note is that strategy and build never felt like separate projects.
1. Coalition Technologies — Worth Considering if you need SEO-first web design with a large team behind it

- Website: coalitiontechnologies.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.56 (based on 413 reviews)
- Team Size: 305 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 16
- Monthly Website Visits: 530.5K
- Employee Review Score: 4.60 (based on 124 reviews)
Overview
Joel Gross started Coalition Technologies back in 2009. The early focus was SEO, and that DNA still runs through everything they do. Web design sits alongside search, PPC, and email. The model ties every channel to one goal: revenue.
What I notice most is the retention. The agency reports that almost all of its clients stay. That’s a signal worth paying attention to. Teams don’t hold onto clients for years by accident. Their reach extends well beyond a single market.
Coalition runs projects across the US and works with teams in several countries. Their e-commerce work skews toward the DTC brands that cluster in this market. You get a large bench without losing a direct point of contact.
One shift that stands out is their push into ADA web access. They now build sites that meet WCAG standards. That move matters if you’re in healthcare, education, or any space where access is a must.
A candle shop owner said the team fixed a bug no one else could find. After that, the site’s traffic grew by a factor of five. That kind of detail tells you how the team works day to day. If you need volume, speed, and deep SEO roots, Coalition fits.
Core Services
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO and AI/GEO)
- Web Design and Web Development
- Pay Per Click (Google Ads, Meta Ads)
- E-commerce Development (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento)
- Email Marketing and Conversion Rate Optimization
Why They Rank #1
- 530.5K monthly site visits put their traffic well above most agencies on this list
- 305 team members on LinkedIn mean deep delivery capacity across disciplines
- 4.56 client rating across 413 reviews shows consistent performance at high volume
- 16 years in business make them one of the longest-running agencies here
- $1,000 minimum project cost keeps the door open for smaller budgets
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Response time is the most repeated theme across a very large review base. A few reviewers describe SEO results softening after algorithm shifts, which is a useful counterweight. Most describe the team as an extension of their own.
Our Take
A strong pick if you want an SEO-heavy agency that also builds sites. The team is large, the review base is deep, and the pricing is accessible. Best for businesses that want search performance baked into the build, not bolted on later.
2. Power Digital — Makes Sense if you’re after a growth marketing engine with web design built in

- Website: powerdigitalmarketing.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $5,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 3.90 (based on 108 reviews)
- Team Size: 2,104 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 13
- Monthly Website Visits: 18.6K
- Employee Review Score: 3.80 (based on 501 reviews)
Overview
Power Digital launched as a performance marketing firm. Web design is part of the stack. But the engine here runs on data, paid media, and growth strategy. That’s worth knowing upfront.
The team is massive. Over two thousand people sit on their LinkedIn page. That makes Power Digital one of the largest firms in this ranking. They run campaigns for DTC brands, healthcare groups, and private equity-backed companies.
I see their strongest fit in the DTC and e-commerce space. Brands in beauty, wellness, and apparel show up often in their case studies.
That mix maps closely to how the Los Angeles consumer brand scene has grown. If that’s your vertical, this team already knows the playbook.
They’ve also leaned hard into data tools. Their own platform pulls marketing data into one view. That’s the direction they’re heading. It shapes how they build web projects too.
Power Digital works with clients across the country and beyond. The reach is broad. But the entry cost and team scale suggest this agency is built for mid-market and up.
If your web project lives inside a larger growth plan, Power Digital makes sense. If you just need a site, you’re paying for more than you need.
Core Services
- Growth Marketing and Paid Media
- SEO and Content Marketing
- Web Design and Web Development
- Influencer Marketing and PR
- Data Intelligence and Marketing Analytics
Why They Rank #2
- 2,104 team members on LinkedIn reflect the largest delivery team on this list
- 13 years in business show staying power through multiple market shifts
- 4.60 cost rating means clients generally feel the pricing is fair for what they get
- 108 total reviews across platforms give a solid, if not massive, client signal
- 18.6K monthly site visits are modest for their size but reflect a B2B focus, not consumer traffic
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Onboarding comes up as the hard part. Several reviewers describe a learning curve with the data-heavy approach before things click. Once past it, those same reviewers describe strategic depth they could not hire internally.
Our Take
Best for brands that need web design tied to a full growth engine. Not a fit for simple site builds. Power Digital thrives when the web project is one piece of a bigger marketing picture, especially in DTC or e-commerce.
3. SmartSites — Look Here First if you want high-volume web design with proven PPC and SEO support

- Website: smartsites.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.73 (based on 1,385 reviews)
- Team Size: 307 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 14
- Monthly Website Visits: 28.8K
- Employee Review Score: 4.50 (based on 107 reviews)
Overview
Brothers Alex and Michael Melen started SmartSites in 2011. The agency has landed on the Inc. 5000 list nine times since then. That kind of growth doesn’t come from coasting.
Their client base leans small to mid-sized. Startups, local service firms, and regional e-commerce brands show up across their portfolio.
That profile fits a large share of the Los Angeles small business market. If your business fits that profile, they already know your problems.
WordPress, Shopify, and Magento are the main platforms here. SmartSites builds on all three and handles upkeep after launch. I think the platform depth matters. It means fewer handoffs and less time onboarding a separate dev team.
Their pricing model stands out too. You get a fixed cost, pay half upfront, and the rest at launch. No hourly guessing. For a business watching its budget, that clarity helps.
SmartSites holds Google Premier Partner and Facebook Marketing Partner status. Those come with performance tests, not just an application form. The review volume backs it up. No agency on this list has more total client reviews.
If you want clean, fast builds with a team that scales, SmartSites delivers. The trade-off is less high-end brand work than a boutique studio offers.
Core Services
- Web Design (WordPress, Shopify, Magento, Custom Development)
- Search Engine Optimization
- Pay Per Click (Google Ads, Facebook Ads)
- Email and SMS Marketing
- Social Media Marketing
Why They Rank #3
- 4.73 client rating across 1,385 reviews is the highest-rated, highest-volume combination on this list
- 4.80 cost rating means clients feel the value is strong relative to what they pay
- 307 team members on LinkedIn give the agency depth without losing the personal touch
- 14 years in business and nine Inc. 5000 placements show sustained growth, not a single spike
- $1,000 minimum makes them one of the most accessible agencies on this ranking
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Turnaround is the thread running through their reviews. Several clients describe redesigns landing faster than quoted. A few note the creative reads functional rather than distinctive, which suits some brands better than others.
Our Take
A strong pick for small and mid-sized businesses that need a reliable web design partner with built-in SEO and PPC. The fixed pricing removes guesswork. Less ideal if you need high-concept brand design or enterprise-scale custom development.
4. eSEOspace — Sweet Spot if you want boutique web design with hands-on attention and low entry cost

- Website: eseospace.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.78 (based on 116 reviews)
- Team Size: 12 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 7
- Monthly Website Visits: 3.4K
- Employee Review Score: 5.00 (based on 1 reviews)
Overview
eSEOspace started in 2018 with a small team of designers and SEO specialists. Seven years later, the team is still small. That’s not a weakness. It’s the model.
You get direct access to the people doing the work. One client said their designer spent hours each day on edits without ever rushing the process. That level of contact is hard to find at a larger shop. The platform range covers WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.
I think the Wix option matters here. It opens the door for businesses with tight budgets who still want a custom feel. Few agencies on this list touch Wix at all.
Healthcare and real estate firms show up across their client base. These are verticals where trust signals, clean layouts, and fast loads make a real difference.
Both fields are crowded in Los Angeles, so the trust signals matter more. eSEOspace builds with those goals in mind.
The agency also handles logo work, brand strategy, and SEO alongside the design. A small business that wants one team for all of that will find real value here.
If you want a tight, responsive team that treats your project like their biggest one, eSEOspace fits. If you need large dev teams, you’ll outgrow them.
Core Services
- Custom Web Design (WordPress, Shopify, Wix)
- Search Engine Optimization and AI SEO
- Logo and Graphic Design
- UI/UX Design
- E-commerce Design and Development
Why They Rank #4
- 5.00 cost rating is perfect, meaning every client felt the pricing was fair
- 4.78 client satisfaction across 116 reviews is strong for a team this size
- $1,000 minimum project cost keeps the agency reachable for startups and small firms
- 60% web design focus is the highest concentration on this list
- 7 years in business show steady growth from a lean starting point
Snapshot of Client Reviews
One reviewer describes their designer spending hours a day on revisions without rushing. That level of access is the pattern here. Budget flexibility comes up almost as often as the design work itself.
Our Take
The best fit for small businesses that want a boutique partner with real web design focus. The perfect cost rating and hands-on approach stand out. Not the right pick for complex enterprise projects or teams that need a large agency bench.
5. Digital Silk — Clear Standout if you want brand-led web design with enterprise polish

- Website: digitalsilk.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $10,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.68 (based on 107 reviews)
- Team Size: 299 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 10
- Monthly Website Visits: 99.3K
- Employee Review Score: 3.45 (based on 98 reviews)
Overview
Digital Silk runs offices across several US cities and parts of Europe. That reach means they staff projects from more than one time zone. For brands with tight deadlines, that overlap can shave days off a build.
Their client list includes names like Sony, P&G, and Xerox. I mention those because the work shows in the portfolio. These are not template swaps. Every site I looked at had a distinct layout tied to the brand.
The process starts with a discovery phase before any design happens. They audit your current site, map your goals, and then build. That order matters. Most agencies skip the first two steps and jump to mockups.
Forbes named them one of the best digital agencies in 2025. That press adds weight. But what stands out more is the focus on custom sites built to convert.
They work across WordPress, Shopify, Magento, and headless setups. Their enterprise focus lines up with the corporate and media clients concentrated here. If you need a platform match, they’ll sort it out in discovery.
If you want a polished, brand-first site from a large team, Digital Silk fits. The entry cost and the lower employee score are worth knowing first.
Core Services
- Custom Web Design and Website Redesign
- Brand Strategy and Visual Identity
- Web Development (WordPress, Shopify, Magento, headless)
- Digital Marketing and SEO
- Enterprise Solutions and Corporate Web Design
Why They Rank #5
- 99.3K monthly site visits rank among the highest on this list for organic reach
- 4.68 client rating across 107 reviews shows strong client satisfaction at scale
- 299 team members on LinkedIn give serious delivery depth across design and dev
- 4.80 cost rating means clients feel the value holds up at the $10,000 entry point
- 10 years in business with multi-city operations show a stable growth path
Snapshot of Client Reviews
A recurring note is how much groundwork happens before design starts. Reviewers describe the team learning the business first, then building. Internal turnover surfaces occasionally as a wrinkle in project flow.
Our Take
A strong fit for mid-market and enterprise brands that want design tied to brand strategy. The portfolio backs up the positioning. Less ideal for small businesses or those with tight budgets given the $10,000 floor.
6. Top Notch Dezigns — Proven System if you want a long-running full-service shop with SEO built into the build

- Website: topnotchdezigns.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $10,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.55 (based on 22 reviews)
- Team Size: 24 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 21
- Monthly Website Visits: 1.2K
- Employee Review Score: 5.00 (based on 1 reviews)
Overview
Top Notch Dezigns has been open since 2004. That makes them the longest-running agency on this list. Over two decades in business says something about staying power.
Derek and Isaiah are names that show up in client reviews. That personal touch matters at a firm this size. You know who’s working on your project. You’re not handed off to a new face each week.
Their client work spans restaurants, mortgage firms, and small e-commerce shops. All three face heavy local competition in this market. One case study stood out. A client saw organic traffic grow over three hundred percent after a redesign.
This agency fits businesses that want one shop for design, SEO, PPC, and branding. The six-step process they use keeps each phase on track.
The review count is small. That’s the honest trade-off with a lean team. But the reviews that exist point to strong work and clear contact.
If you want a proven, stable partner that won’t vanish after launch, this agency delivers. If you need a large team for a fast build, the bench here is limited.
Core Services
- Web Design and Web Development (WordPress)
- Search Engine Optimization and PPC
- Mobile App Development
- Branding and Logo Design
- E-commerce Development
Why They Rank #6
- 21 years in business is the longest track record on this entire list
- 4.80 cost rating shows clients feel the pricing matches the output
- 4.55 client satisfaction across 22 reviews is solid for a boutique-sized agency
- 50% web design focus means design sits at the core of their work
- 5.00 employee score, though based on one review, signals strong internal culture
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Reviewers name individual team members rather than the agency, which tends to happen at firms this size. Several describe outcomes beating what they were quoted. The review base is small, so read it as a signal rather than proof.
Our Take
Best for small to mid-sized businesses that want a long-tenured team with real SEO integration. The longevity speaks for itself. Less suited for large-scale enterprise projects that need deep dev benches.
7. Designity — Right Methodology for You if you want on-demand creative with a dedicated director

- Website: designity.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $5,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.90 (based on 149 reviews)
- Team Size: 153 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 10
- Monthly Website Visits: 33.1K
- Employee Review Score: 4.60 (based on 170 reviews)
Overview
Designity doesn’t work like a typical agency. They run a model where you pay a flat monthly fee. You get a creative director who leads your projects. That setup is worth knowing before you compare them to a standard shop.
The team leans toward the creative side. Designers, writers, and motion graphics people make up the core. You’re not hiring a dev firm that happens to do design. You’re hiring a design team that handles code when needed.
One health brand ran a campaign through Designity that pulled in strong revenue. That detail stuck with me. It shows the platform does more than static design.
Several clients said the creative director felt like a true partner, not someone checking off tasks. That’s a different kind of working bond than most agencies offer.
They’ve been pushing hard into marketing. SEO, content, and social now sit next to web design and branding. The flat-fee model suits the creator and consumer brands driving design demand here. That range keeps growing.
If you need steady creative output without a long contract, this model makes sense. If you need deep custom builds or complex code, this team may not be the right fit.
Core Services
- Web Design and Website Coding
- Graphic Design and Logo Design
- Motion Graphics and Video
- SEO and Content Marketing
- Social Media and Digital Ads
Why They Rank #7
- 4.90 client satisfaction across 149 reviews is among the highest on this list
- 4.60 employee rating across 170 reviews shows the internal team is stable and engaged
- 33.1K monthly site visits reflect strong organic reach for a creative-first platform
- 4.80 cost rating means clients feel the flat-fee model delivers real value
- 10 years in business show the CaaS model has proven durable
Snapshot of Client Reviews
The creative director relationship dominates their reviews. One client describes it as strategic partnership rather than task management. Reviewers who arrived with vague briefs report a rockier ride than those who did not.
Our Take
A great pick if you want design output at volume without hiring in-house. The subscription model keeps costs flat. Not ideal if your project needs heavy backend development or complex web builds.
8. Bop Design — Genuinely Strong Option if you need a B2B-focused web design agency with branding depth

- Website: bopdesign.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $25,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.90 (based on 130 reviews)
- Team Size: 59 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 18
- Monthly Website Visits: 2.9K
- Employee Review Score: 5.00 (based on 4 reviews)
Overview
Bop Design is a woman-owned agency that started in 2008. From the beginning, they picked a lane: B2B only. They still hold that line. If your business sells to consumers, they’re not the right call.
That focus pays off in a clear way. Their portfolio is full of tech, SaaS, finance, and consulting firms. That B2B focus runs against the grain in a market that is weighted toward consumer brands. Every layout is built to generate leads, not just look good.
The team’s average tenure sits at six years. That stood out to me because agency turnover is usually high. When the same people stick around, your project gets smoother handoffs.
One client said Bop Design felt like an extension of their own team. That’s a phrase I hear a lot. But the Webby Awards and AMA wins back it up.
They only build on WordPress. That’s a choice, not a gap. It keeps the dev stack clean and the CMS easy for non-tech teams to update.
If you’re a B2B firm that wants branding and web design from the same team, Bop Design fits. The high entry cost means this is a serious step. And they’ll say no if you don’t fit the B2B mold.
Core Services
- B2B Web Design (WordPress only)
- Brand Strategy and Brand Development
- Content Marketing and SEO
- Social Media Marketing
- Email Marketing and PPC
Why They Rank #8
- 4.90 client satisfaction across 130 reviews matches the top scores on this list
- 4.90 cost rating is near perfect, meaning clients feel the $25,000 entry is justified
- 18 years in business show staying power in the B2B space
- 60% web design focus is tied for the highest concentration on this ranking
- 5.00 employee score across 4 reviews reflects strong team culture, even with a small sample
Snapshot of Client Reviews
The word that keeps surfacing is partner. Reviewers describe a collaborative process and a team fluent enough in B2B to challenge the brief. Lead volume after launch is the most cited outcome.
Our Take
The strongest B2B pick on this list. Branding and web design work as one service here, not two. The $25,000 minimum and WordPress-only model keep the scope tight. Not a fit for B2C brands or e-commerce builds.
9. Probey Services — Lowest-Risk Choice if you need web and app dev at a low entry cost with global delivery

- Website: probeyservices.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 5.00 (based on 221 reviews)
- Team Size: 61 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 16
- Monthly Website Visits: 1.2K
- Employee Review Score: 4.50 (based on 14 reviews)
Overview
Probey Services has grown steadily over the past decade. The firm now has over three hundred people across eleven offices. That scale at a $25 hourly rate sets them apart from every other agency here.
The team skews dev-heavy. Mobile apps, custom software, and web builds make up the bulk. Web design is part of the stack. But it shares space with ERP tools and AI projects.
Healthcare and fintech clients appear often in their work. One hospital project focused on building a site with the right trust signals. Clean layout, fast load, clear calls to action.
Their client reach spans thirty-plus industries across several countries. If you need a team that works across time zones, Probey fits that model. There are no in-person meetings on offer, so weigh that against the rate.
They’ve also moved into AI-powered SEO and digital marketing. That shift means they’re adding the services that sit around a core site build.
If you want a large, low-cost team for web and app work, Probey delivers. If you want a boutique feel or a design-led studio, the vibe here will feel different.
Core Services
- Web Design and Web Development (Shopify, WordPress, Magento)
- Mobile App Development (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter)
- Custom Software and Enterprise Solutions
- Digital Marketing and AI-Powered SEO
- Branding and Social Media Management
Why They Rank #9
- 5.00 client satisfaction across 221 reviews is the highest and deepest on this list
- $25 hourly rate and $1,000 minimum make this the most accessible option by far
- 5.00 cost rating means every client felt the value was right
- 16 years in business show durability despite a lean public profile
- 4.50 employee score across 14 reviews adds a useful internal signal
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Delivery dates come up more often than design does. Reviewers describe projects landing on schedule and post-launch support that actually answers. Across a deep review base the tone stays consistent.
Our Take
The best pick on this list for budget-sensitive projects that still need real dev depth. The perfect client and cost ratings are hard to ignore. Less suited for buyers who want a high-touch, design-led studio experience.
10. Lounge Lizard — Separates Itself if you want a family-owned agency with deep brand strategy roots

- Website: loungelizard.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $10,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.77 (based on 79 reviews)
- Team Size: 57 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 27
- Monthly Website Visits: 10.3K
- Employee Review Score: 4.40 (based on 31 reviews)
Overview
Ken and Sharon Braun started Lounge Lizard in 1998. That makes this a family-owned agency with nearly three decades in the game. Very few shops on this list have been around that long.
Ken sits as a top judge for the Webby Awards and writes for Forbes on web design trends. That kind of public profile adds a layer of trust. You’re working with someone who shapes the standards, not just follows them.
Their process starts with brand strategy before any layout gets drawn. They call their team “Brandtenders.” The name is quirky, but the approach is real. Design, dev, and marketing all tie back to the brand story.
One project that stood out was a full rebrand and site build for a Nevada casino group. The work mixed Hollywood-style visuals with heavy UX.
Finance, healthcare, and e-commerce clients show up often in the portfolio. The range points to a team that can shift between verticals without losing quality.
If you want a proven, brand-first agency with a family feel, Lounge Lizard fits. If you need a low price or fast build, the entry cost and lean team may not match.
Core Services
- Web Design and Custom Development
- Brand Development and Brand Strategy
- SEO and AEO (AI Engine Optimization)
- Digital Marketing and Social Media
- E-commerce and Mobile App Development
Why They Rank #10
- 27 years in business is the second-longest track record on this list
- 4.77 client satisfaction across 79 reviews shows strong, steady performance
- 10.3K monthly visits reflect solid organic presence for a boutique-sized team
- 4.80 cost rating means clients feel the $10,000 entry is fair
- 4.40 employee score across 31 reviews gives a real internal signal
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Several reviewers have worked with them for years, and it shapes how the reviews read. Branding depth is the most cited strength. The language runs closer to the retained partner than the project vendor.
Our Take
A strong fit for brands that want design tied to real brand strategy. The long track record and founder credibility set this agency apart. Less ideal for startups on tight budgets or projects that need a large dev team.
11. ForeFront Web — Defensible Choice if you want an all-in-house team with no offshore work and conversion focus

- Website: forefrontweb.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $5,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.93 (based on 73 reviews)
- Team Size: 13 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 24
- Monthly Website Visits: 4.6K
- Employee Review Score: 5.00 (based on 4 reviews)
Overview
Scott Kasun started ForeFront Web in 2001 with a clear rule: no offshore work. Every person who touches your project works from the same office. That rule still holds two decades later.
The agency grew as a behind-the-scenes partner for larger firms. They built sites and ran SEO for agencies that needed extra help. That origin matters. It means they’ve handled complex work from the start.
Healthcare, nonprofits, and professional services make up their core verticals. One nonprofit said the team made a full site redesign feel seamless. That’s notable when you know how messy those rebuilds can get.
ForeFront holds Google Premier Partner status. That puts them in the top three percent of agencies in the US. The review numbers back it up.
Their culture runs casual on the surface but serious on output. The small team means less process and faster choices. Everything runs on one clock, which helps if you want same-day answers on Pacific time.
If you want a tight, honest team that does everything in-house, ForeFront delivers. If you need a large bench or heavy design flash, this crew may feel too small.
Core Services
- Web Design and Web Development (in-house only)
- Search Engine Optimization
- Paid Search (PPC)
- Content Marketing
- E-commerce and Branding
Why They Rank #11
- 4.93 client satisfaction across 73 reviews is among the highest on this list
- 5.00 cost rating means every client felt the value matched the spend
- 24 years in business show deep experience and stability
- 5.00 employee score signals a healthy internal culture, even in a small sample
- Google Premier Partner status (top 3% of US agencies) adds third-party credibility
Snapshot of Client Reviews
A striking number of reviews open with a previous agency that failed. Clients describe ForeFront picking up the wreckage. Individual team members get named, and the word honest appears more than any superlative.
Our Take
The right pick if transparency and in-house work matter more than agency size. The all-US, no-offshore model is rare in this ranking. Not ideal for projects that need global delivery or a big creative bench.
12. BSS Commerce — Your Answer if you need a Magento or Shopify e-commerce build at a global rate

- Website: bsscommerce.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $5,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 5.00 (based on 14 reviews)
- Team Size: 104 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 13
- Monthly Website Visits: 79.2K
- Employee Review Score: 5.00 (based on 5 reviews)
Overview
BSS Commerce started in 2012 as a Magento extension shop. That niche origin shaped everything that came after. They learned e-commerce from the code up, not from a pitch deck. Today the team has grown past three hundred and fifty people.
Their client base spans fashion, B2B wholesale, and retail. That overlaps with the DTC brands scaling fastest in this market. If your project lives on Magento or Shopify Plus, this team has deep platform skills.
One project stood out. A fashion e-commerce firm had been stuck with a prior agency for a full year. BSS finished the same job in three months.
They also sell their own Magento extensions and Shopify apps. That’s a signal I pay attention to. A team that builds products for a platform knows its limits and shortcuts.
The client base is global. BSS holds ISO 27001 and Shopify Premier Partner status. Both mean real standards are in place.
If you need an e-commerce build with strong platform skills and global pricing, BSS fits. If your project has no shopping cart, you’ll be outside their core strength.
Core Services
- E-commerce Development (Magento, Shopify, Shopify Plus)
- Web Design and UX/UI
- Platform Migration and Upgrades
- Custom Development and Extension Building
- B2B E-commerce Solutions
Why They Rank #12
- 5.00 client satisfaction across 14 reviews is a perfect score
- 79.2K monthly site visits reflect strong organic authority in the e-commerce space
- 5.00 cost and employee ratings reinforce the value proposition
- 104 team members on LinkedIn with 350+ total give serious dev capacity
- 13 years in business with ISO 27001 and Shopify Premier Partner status add credibility
Snapshot of Client Reviews
A year of stalled work elsewhere finished here in three months, according to one reviewer. Platform depth is the through-line. The review base is thin, so weigh the perfect scores with that in mind.
Our Take
The strongest e-commerce specialist on this list. Best for Magento and Shopify builds with complex needs. The global rate makes them cost-effective for dev-heavy projects. Not the right fit for brand-led or non-commerce work.
13. SPINX Digital — Hits the Mark if you want an LA-native agency with enterprise and public sector experience

- Website: spinxdigital.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.97 (based on 35 reviews)
- Team Size: 59 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 20
- Monthly Website Visits: 34.3K
- Employee Review Score: 4.00 (based on 18 reviews)
Overview
SPINX Digital has run from the same city since 2005. Twenty years in one market gives a team a certain kind of depth. They know the industries, the clients, and the pace.
What sets them apart is the client range. They’ve built sites for CBS, Amazon, and the LAPD. That last one matters. Public sector work comes with ADA rules and review steps most agencies never touch.
Their approach starts with strategy before any pixel moves. The team treats each build as a custom job, not a repeat of the last one.
They’ve also started leaning into AI-driven search. AEO now sits alongside SEO in their pitch. That shift matters if you care about where search is heading.
The agency has earned over thirty awards. That number alone doesn’t say much. But paired with a near-perfect client score and a twenty-year run, it paints a strong picture.
If you want a design team built for the LA market with complex build skills, SPINX fits. If you need the lowest rate or heavy e-commerce tools, this may not match.
Core Services
- Web Design and Website Development
- Digital Strategy and Planning
- Mobile App Development
- SEO, AEO, and Digital Marketing
- Enterprise CMS Solutions and E-commerce
Why They Rank #13
- 4.97 client satisfaction across 35 reviews is near-perfect
- 34.3K monthly visits show strong organic reach for a mid-sized team
- 20 years in business make this one of the most tenured agencies on the list
- $1,000 minimum keeps the door open for smaller projects
- 59 team members on LinkedIn suggest a focused, hands-on delivery model
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Reviewers describe being walked through complex site structures rather than handed them. Redesign quality is the most cited outcome. The tone reads professional rather than effusive, which fits the client mix.
Our Take
A solid pick for businesses that want a long-running design team with real enterprise and public sector chops. The twenty-year track record speaks for itself. Less suited for fast, low-budget builds or heavy e-commerce dev.
14. Funnel Boost Media — Solves Your Actual Problem if you want local SEO and GEO tied to a conversion-focused site

- Website: funnelboostmedia.net
- Minimum Project Cost: $1,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.66 (based on 440 reviews)
- Team Size: 46 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 14
- Monthly Website Visits: 1.2K
- Employee Review Score: 4.60 (based on 11 reviews)
Overview
Funnel Boost Media started in 2012 as a local search agency. That focus still drives everything they do. SEO, PPC, and web design all run through one strategy that aims at one thing: leads.
Their approach ties each channel to the next. The site gets built to convert. SEO brings traffic. PPC fills the gaps while rankings build.
One client switched from a bad prior agency and called Funnel Boost “no frills” but honest. That review stuck with me. It says a lot about the working style.
They’ve pushed hard into GEO. That means getting your brand cited by AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. This direction matters if you care about where the search is heading.
Law firms, home services, and healthcare make up their most common verticals. Those are three of the most contested local search categories in Los Angeles. Forbes named them one of the best digital marketing firms in the US.
If you want local SEO and site design built around lead generation, Funnel Boost fits. If you need high-end brand design or a complex custom build, this team leans toward function over flash.
Core Services
- Web Design and Conversion Optimization
- Local SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
- Pay Per Click (PPC) and Paid Ads
- Social Media Marketing
- Content Marketing and Branding
Why They Rank #14
- 440 total reviews is the second-highest volume on this list
- 4.66 client rating across that volume shows steady performance at scale
- $1,000 minimum and $50 hourly rate make this one of the most budget-friendly options
- 14 years in business and Forbes recognition add real credibility
- 4.60 employee score across 11 reviews shows a stable team
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Accountability is what reviewers reach for first. Several arrived after a bad agency experience and described the contrast bluntly. Across a large review base the tone stays practical rather than glowing.
Our Take
The right pick for businesses that need local search and lead generation tied to a clean site build. The veteran-owned, no-nonsense culture comes through in every review. Less ideal for high-concept brand design or pure e-commerce builds.
15. Affirma Consulting — Aligned Approach if you need web design attached to serious backend engineering

- Website: affirma.com
- Minimum Project Cost: $10,000
- Average Client Satisfaction Rating: 4.80 (based on 45 reviews)
- Team Size: 348 (LinkedIn)
- Years in Business: 24
- Monthly Website Visits: 1.4K
- Employee Review Score: 3.85 (based on 269 reviews)
Overview
Affirma opened in 2001 as a technology consultancy. Web design came later, as part of a broader digital agency arm. That order explains a lot about how they work.
The engineering side leads. You get design paired with heavy backend work, which is rare on this list. If your site links to a CRM, a portal, or a custom database, that matters.
Their client roster includes Microsoft, Starbucks, and Seattle Children’s Hospital. One project rebuilt an intranet for the City of Seattle. Public sector and enterprise work runs through much of their portfolio.
That translates to the civic and institutional clients in this market. The team spans four countries and has passed four hundred people. That reach means they can staff a big build fast. It also means you’re one of many accounts.
Puget Sound Business Journal named them a Best Workplace four years running. They’ve also hit the Inc. 5000 list. If your web project sits inside a bigger tech stack, Affirma fits. If you want a design-led studio focused on the site alone, look higher on this list.
Core Services
- Web Design and Website Development (WordPress)
- Custom Development and Enterprise Software
- Digital Marketing, SEO, and AEO
- Cloud, Azure, and Business Intelligence Consulting
- UI/UX Design and Visual Design
Why They Rank #15
- 4.80 client satisfaction across 45 reviews is strong for an enterprise consultancy
- 348 team members on LinkedIn give deep technical capacity across disciplines
- 24 years in business make this one of the most tenured firms on the list
- 4.50 cost rating shows clients feel the $10,000 entry is fair for the scope
- 269 employee reviews give one of the largest internal samples on this ranking
Snapshot of Client Reviews
Reviewers repeatedly describe them inheriting projects other vendors abandoned. Flexibility is the most cited trait. Scoping smaller work surfaces as a friction point, given how broad the service range runs.
Our Take
A solid choice when your site is one piece of a larger technology project. The enterprise and public sector track record is real. Not the right fit if you want a pure web design studio or a small, design-first team.
Disclosure: Our recommendations include both locally headquartered agencies and offshore firms that provide services in this region. Some agencies featured do not maintain a physical office here but have an established track record of delivering services to clients in the area.
How to Pick the Right Web Design Agency in Los Angeles?
A low price and a nice portfolio aren’t enough. Here’s what to look for before you sign anything. Here goes six points to consider while choosing a web design agency in LA.
1. Check Their Portfolio on Your Phone
Pull up their last five sites on your phone. If three load slow or look dated, skip the call. Portfolio quality tells you more than any pitch deck. Look for clean UI/UX design and fast load times.
2. Ask About Pricing Before the First Call
LA agencies charge more than the national average. That’s the cost of doing business here. But you deserve a clear range before the first meeting. Ask what the rate covers and what sits outside scope.
3. Look for Built-In SEO
A great site means nothing if nobody finds it. Ask how they build for organic search from the start, not as an add-on. Searches like “e-commerce web design Los Angeles” keep climbing. Your agency should already track that shift.
4. Test Their Communication Style Early
LA’s design culture runs visual-first. Clients here expect sharp layouts and fast feedback loops. Ask how the team handles revisions. One slow reply cycle can stall a whole project.
5. Make Sure They Can Scale With You
Your site needs to grow with your business. Ask if they build on modern stacks like headless CMS. That upgrade cycle is already here. Don’t get locked into a platform that can’t flex.
6. Gauge Their Local Market Knowledge
LA agencies cluster by neighborhood and vertical. Tech firms sit in one pocket. Entertainment shops work from another. Ask where their clients are, not just where their desk is.
Common Mistakes When Hiring a Web Design Agency in Los Angeles
I’ve seen every one of these go wrong. Most mistakes are easy to avoid if you know what to watch for. Here are eight common mistakes when hiring a web design company.
1. Picking Based on Price Alone
Rates in LA run higher than most markets. That doesn’t mean the cheapest option saves you money. A low bid often means cut corners or offshore handoffs. Check what a build in this range actually costs first. Then use a cost calculator to price your own scope.
2. Skipping the SEO Conversation
“Web design agency Los Angeles” is one of the most competitive searches in the country. If your new site doesn’t rank, it doesn’t work. Ask how SEO fits into the build before you sign. Most of the damage comes from a short list of avoidable SEO mistakes.
3. Not Reviewing the Portfolio First
LA buyers check portfolios before anything else. That’s the market norm here. Open their last five builds on mobile. If the sites feel slow or dated, move on.
4. Trusting Star Ratings Without Reading Reviews
Google Business Profile reviews carry just as much weight as Clutch here. But don’t stop at the stars. Read the three-star reviews first. That’s where you learn what actually goes wrong and make necessary decisions beforehand.
5. Overlooking Mobile Performance
LA traffic skews heavily to mobile. But many agencies still design for desktop first. Ask to see load times on their recent builds. Slow pages cost you real visitors.
6. Skipping the Post-Launch Support Plan
Agencies build and vanish. It happens more than you’d think. Lock in a support plan before the project starts. Maintenance, updates, and security patches all need a home.
7. Not Aligning on Scope Before Kickoff
Redesign projects stall when scope isn’t clear from day one. Features creep in. Budgets blow out. Get the full scope in writing before any work begins.
8. Ignoring Revision Timelines
Fast turnarounds matter in LA. Media and entertainment clients demand quick cycles. Ask how many revision rounds you get. Then ask how long each round takes.
Final Thoughts
Picking from this list comes down to fit, not rank. The right Los Angeles web design agency for a B2B software firm is not the one a DTC beauty brand should call.
Use the scores to narrow to three. Then ask each one about scope, revision rounds, and what happens after launch. Those three answers separate agencies faster than any portfolio does.
Rates in Los Angeles run above the national average. That makes a clear scope agreement matter more here than in most markets. Get it in writing before work starts.
If you want a team that treats design and search as one job rather than two line items, we would welcome the conversation.
Methodology of Our Study
You’re not reading a curated list on this page. You’re reading a scored ranking built on public numbers and a clear method. Los Angeles is a sprawling market with hundreds of agencies claiming the same skills.
A DTC brand in Venice has different needs than a law firm downtown. Scope, budget, and timeline shift with every project. That’s why gut feel isn’t enough. You need a scoring model you can see, question, and verify. That’s what this section lays out.
Why This Ranking Is Different
Most agency lists don’t explain how they picked the winners. Names show up with no scores, no weights, and no visible logic. Some of those spots are bought.
This one works differently. I collected all data from public sources during 2026. No agency paid for placement or a higher rank. Every firm ran through the same formula with the same rules.
The point is simple. Give you a framework that rewards proof, not polish. Help you find a team that’s stable, reviewed, and right for your project.
Where Your Data Comes From
Transparency starts with showing our sources. Traffic estimates came from SEMrush, standing in for how visible each agency is organically. Client ratings and review volume were pulled from Clutch, DesignRush, G2, Google Business Profile, and Trustpilot.
Employee ratings came from Glassdoor and Indeed, which say more about team stability than any pitch deck will. Team size came from LinkedIn.
Agency websites confirmed years in business, whether web design is a core offering, hourly rates, and minimum project costs. I also read service pages, case studies, and published client work to test how deep the design capability actually runs. Every figure here traces back to something you can open yourself.
The Five Dimensions That Shape Your Rankings
Every agency was scored across five areas. Each metric got a fixed weight. Positive areas add points. Pricing applies a small deduction.
That stops any one number from tilting the whole ranking. The goal here was not to reward size or name recognition. It was to reward evidence.
Service Focus & Value Assessment (20%)
Design should sit at the center of a web design agency. It should not be a line item buried under twelve other services.
This dimension checks two things. Does the agency treat web design as a primary offering? Do clients say the pricing felt fair for what they got?
LA has no shortage of marketing firms that list web design as one of many services. That alone doesn’t make them design leaders.
Agencies score higher here when design clearly anchors their model. A strong score means design drives the agency. A weak score means design is secondary work.
| Metric | Weight | How We Calculated It |
| Web Design Focus | 10% | Web design appeared as a core agency service |
| Client Rating for Cost | 10% | Average cost rating from review platforms |
Brand Authority (45%)
This carries the most weight in the model. That’s on purpose. In a market as dense as LA, staying visible takes real effort. An agency that holds traffic, grows its team, and lasts through market shifts has earned something real.
Traffic tells you about online reach. Team size shows how much work they can handle. Years in business prove they’ve survived the cycles.
A long-running firm with strong traffic and a full team scores high. A newer firm with less reach scores lower, even if the recent work looks great. That tradeoff is built into the framework.
| Metric | Weight | How We Calculated It |
| Website Traffic | 20% | Higher SEMrush traffic suggested stronger online visibility |
| LinkedIn Team Size | 15% | Larger teams suggested stronger delivery capacity |
| Years in Business | 10% | Longer histories showed greater experience and stability |
Client Satisfaction (30%)
Traffic and team size only go so far. If clients keep flagging missed deadlines or poor results, none of that reach helps you.
This area weighs both the rating and how many people left one. A perfect score from three reviewers tells you less than a strong score from three hundred.
Volume makes the signal harder to fake. The top agencies here earned their spots over many projects. Not a handful of lucky ones.
| Metric | Weight | How We Calculated It |
| Average Client Rating | 15% | Combined ratings from selected review platforms |
| Total Client Reviews | 15% | More reviews provided stronger proof of consistency |
Employee Satisfaction (25%)
Most people skip employee reviews when they pick an agency. That’s a mistake. Agencies with strong cultures keep senior people on staff.
That means your project gets handled by someone with experience. Not a new hire still learning the tools. High turnover shows up in missed deadlines and sloppy handoffs.
This dimension gives you a read on the team behind the sales pitch. A strong score means the internal team is stable.
A weak one means you should ask about retention before you sign.
| Metric | Weight | How We Calculated It |
| Average Employee Rating | 10% | Average rating from Glassdoor and Indeed |
| Number of Employee Reviews | 15% | More reviews reduced the effect of small samples |
Cost Accessibility Adjustment (–20%)
LA pricing runs wide. Some agencies charge six figures for a build. Others start under a thousand dollars. Both can do solid work.
I applied a small pricing deduction to keep the model fair. Agencies with higher rates and entry costs got a modest score cut. This doesn’t punish premium firms. It just keeps strong work at lower rates from getting buried.
This is the only dimension that subtracts from the total. Every other area adds.
| Metric | Weight | How We Calculated It |
| Hourly Rate | -10% | Higher hourly rates received larger deductions |
| Minimum Project Cost | -10% | Higher entry costs reduced accessibility scores |
How the Final Score Works
Each agency earned a raw score across all five areas. I scaled those to a common range so you can compare them clearly. No single metric decides the final order.
An agency with modest traffic but perfect reviews can still rank well. A high-traffic agency with poor employee scores gets pulled down.
The system balances reach, trust, team health, and price access into one number. That lets you compare agencies that look nothing alike.
Note: No agency paid for inclusion or a higher ranking in this guide. All rankings and scores are based solely on publicly available data collected at the time of publication.
Note: These rankings reflect the market landscape at the time of publication. Although individual metrics may change over time, the evaluation framework prioritizes long-term capability signals, making major ranking fluctuations unlikely.
